Almost any organisation uses text for publications in some form: from the house journal for employees to a glossy PR magazine, from the annual report to the company website.

Most people, unfortunately, don't spend much time reading those texts. The average reading time for annual reports is less than two minutes, while the average web surfer clicks away if nothing happens within eight seconds. To hold someone's attention longer than that, you need both good design and compact text that is easy to read.
